Our little shadow

You always hear the stories of children mimicking their parents. D is now at the age of mimicking us and we are realizing we need to be careful with what we do. A few things that have happened: The other day G burped and patted his chest after he did it. He was carrying D so D patted G's chest too. One day as I was getting D ready for his bath I took off his socks. There was lint left on his feet and toes from his new socks. I cleaned the lint off before putting him in the tub. Now whenever I take his socks off he cleans his toes. It is sooo cute. Having children makes us realize how important it is to do what is right because we are their teachers. What a blessing it is to have children teach us this.

Christmas in CA

We've been really bad in updating our blog lately so in one day we added 4 blogs. Our new years resolution is to update it more frequently.
For Christmas we went to California and enjoyed a white (foggy) Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa J as well as big S's brother's family and her sister. We got there just in time to watch the BYU game and boy what an awesome ending!! We enjoyed the time we spent with family. On little S's birthday we went to see the Giant Sequoia's. It was gorgeous up there as well as cold and it snowed. We had a fun time, especially since it was D's first time in the snow. It was nice to be cold for awhile.

Band Concert

S's band had a concert in December. She continues to play the flute very well. Here is a small part of one of the numbers they performed.

Volleyball Season is Here

Softball season is over and volleyball season has started. S is enjoying it a lot. The coach requires all the girls to serve overhand no matter what. The team is doing very well. They have only lost 1 game so far, out of 6 games.

D is on the Move!!

Just an update that D is more mobile now than in the last video we showed you. He loves to walk to the mailbox with mommy everyday as well as walking all over the house.

A future Scientist

We need to do some bragging about our daughter, S. For the last two weeks she has been working on her science fair project. Her question was "Is our galaxy really moving?" For her experiment she set up a telescope in our backyard and with her dad helping her along the way she was able to do a great experiment. Last night at her school science fair they gave away a medal in each area (medical, zoology, earth/space, etc). She won for earth & space. They then presented an award for the overall Grand Prize and YES!!! she won that one as well. She received another medal for the grand prize and a $100 gift certificate to spend at a local mall. We are so proud of her and the great work she did. GREAT JOB SMB!!!

Post Thanksgiving Blessings

I am a little behind in doing this but it is something I have been wanting to do. I kept putting it off to work on the layout of our blog but haven't been able to figure it completely out yet. I will just have to ask the expert, my sister-in-law Alita.

My Top Ten Things I am Thankful for: (These are not in any specific order)

1. A handsome hard-working husband who has blessed my life in many ways. It was worth the long wait.

2. A beautiful teenage daughter who is so helpful around the house and willing to babysit her younger brother.

3. An adorable little boy who I love spending my days with as he learns and grows. He teaches me so much as well.

4. The blessing I have to stay home and be a mom. Thanks Dear.

5. Families - which include parents, siblings (mine and my husband's), their spouses, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and so on. Thank you for being a part of my life and all that I learn from each of you.

6. The Gospel of Jesus Christ being in my life.

7. Temples - a place of peace and refuge.

8. Scriptures

9. My Saviour Jesus Christ

10. A Loving Heavenly Father that hears and answers our prayers.
Bonus -
11. Friends - people who have blessed my life in a lot of ways.

I have so many more to be thankful but this is just a few.
